Creative, excentric and obssesed with polcadots. Yes, those polcadots that Yayoi Kusama took to the highest, because the points are solid and infinite and every human being is a point. One day I started customizing sheets, objects and home furniture. In them he painted those infinite circles, and he did it with fluorine colors.
This is how my story as MACO begins, this is how I started to create Cosmos.
MACO is María Couso. From Madrid -and with Galician blood-, I have dedicated myself to letters for years, working as a journalist in online and print media. Encouraged by my husband, a fan of cosmograms, astrology and metaphysics, I began to relate my interest in points with the planets, with the Sun and the Moon, with the influence of the stars on people, with matter, with the patterns, with the symmetries and the parallels, with the Cosmos.

What started as gifts to my friends and family, has become a small but great project: the Cosmos series. Each one is different, each piece contains an iconography and a new meaning for me. The Universe at your fingertips.
My paintings, usually in XXL size, impress. Its neon colors, its fluorine tones, those infinite points, its spirals, its polka dot amoebas, its striking backgrounds. In them, my unconscious flows, an "orderly" chaos of colors and infinite, primitive forms. I also like sculpture very much and I love customizing objects.
Therefore, I translate my Cosmos in decorative columns, in furniture, vases, in pieces of all kinds. Even in walls for the most daring! Nor have I stopped writing, another of my great passions.
